Frequently asked questions
Once your documents get verified you will receive a text from our software, Ubeya, with your access code. Once you log in you will be able to set your profile there and start applying for jobs.
At Cube Staff, we are committed to providing excellent opportunities for our workers and maintaining strong relationships with employers. Due to the high volume of staff we employ each month—many of whom complete only a few shifts—we are unable to respond to all reference requests.
Please note that we do not confirm dates of employment, as doing so would require dedicating a full-time team member solely to this task.
Our reference policy is as follows: ✅ We only provide references for staff who have completed at least 50 shifts with us. ✅ If you meet this requirement and would like us to provide a reference, you must email hello@cubestaff.co.uk with your written consent and the name of the employer requesting the reference.
To begin with apply for as many shifts as you can do. Do not limit yourself to just a few as it may be hard for you to get it. From your end you can’t see if the shift needs 1 waiter or 50 so apply for as many shifts as you can do!
You do it via our Ubeya app. Please apply for any shift that you want to do and usually within 24h you will get booked if you are successful.
To begin with, getting your desired shifts may be a bit harder – we don’t know how good or reliable you are so you may not be picked for shifts immediately.
It may be a bit of a slow process but if you apply for many shifts you will definitely get some and once you do a single shift you will be on top of the list for all other shifts too😀

YES PLEASE DO! You can apply for as many shifts on a day as you want, even if the times clash. We will not double book you so don’t worry.
You can cancel a shift on the app if it starts in more than 48 hours. Please note, however, that any cancelation always counts against you so if you are not sure if you can work it is best to not apply for a shift.

PLEASE DO NOT contact customers directly about job cancelations, contact us at CUBE. You cancelling a shift should be a problem for CUBE not for our customers
After each shift our customers rate you on the scale of 1*(dreadful) to 5*(fantastic).
Make sure our customers have a reason to give you 5* each time as it will allow you to have priority access to all jobs and ability to book all the VIP shifts.
Ratings are based on your attitude; are you there on time, is your uniform immaculate, are you hard working. Your experience is of secondary importance so please make sure you shine at each shift.
We are looking for people who are reliable, have a good work ethic and are happy & smiley. Events are all about fun so we want our staff to have a great time whilst performing to the highest standards.
We have shifts available in the morning, afternoon and evening. We are busy every day of the week including weekends so you can easily find shifts that are suitable for you.
The rates vary depending on the client but the rate for a shift is always clearly stated when the shift is shown on the app.
It depends on...YOU. We have plenty of daily shifts available so you can work as often as you want. We are looking for people who can do at least one shift a week but should you be looking for 30+ hours we can accommodate that as well.
We regularly work in some of London’s top venues including Victoria & Albert Museum, National Gallery, Museum of London, National Portrait Gallery, Roundhouse and many 5* hotels. The majority of shifts take place in Central London - Zone 1.
Hair
Should be clean, brushed and tidy. If it is long it must be tied back. Hair colour must be natural looking. Any hair accessories must be discreet and appropriate to hair colour and uniform.
Make up
Should be subtle, discreet and natural looking to complement your outfit
Tattoos and body piercings
Need to be covered or removed and not visible at all.
Jewellery
Limited to a wedding ring and a conservatively styled wrist watch, Only small matching ear studs can be warn, all other piercings need to be removed.
Nails
Must be well maintained, cleaned and short. No nail varnish or fake nails are allowed (Food & Hygiene).
Perfume
May be discreetly worn. Appropriate deodorant/anti-perspirant must be used
You need:
Smart, black office/suit trousers (not jeans), they need to go all the way to your shoes and cover your ankles!
Smart black LEATHER shoes
Black socks
Black shirt AND white shirt (you will need both as it varies from event to event)
Your shirt needs to be long sleeved, with collar and you need to be able to button it all the way up (as you may need to wear a tie)
Many customers also require waistcoat and tie
On the 7th of each month you get paid for all shifts you have worked in the previous calendar month.
For example if you work for Cube in September (regardless which days in September you worked) you will be paid on October 7th for all of them directly into your bank account.
Yes each month your payslip will be emailed to you. Please make sure to put your email address on your Ubeya account.
Yes. All rates advertised on our app include holiday pay which you are paid immediately each month so you don't have to worry about claiming it.

The pay you get should match what you have on your Ubeya account. If it is wrong we are very sorry, please fill the form at https://www.cubestaff.co.uk/help, please provide full details of what is wrong and we can check it for you.
If you would like to refer someone to Cube GREAT! All your friend needs to do is email join@cubestaff.co.uk and mention your name at the time of the interview. Once they do that they will be allocated to your account and you will get £0.40 for every hour your friend does.
In order to get your reward you need to do a minimum of 4 shifts in the same month that the referral money is due. You get the referral money for each hour your friend does, regardless of how many/few shifts your friend does in a calendar month.
If you stayed longer than your booked time, THANK YOU, that is much appreciated. Just note the time you finished. You do not need to do anything else, as most customers update the hours when they sign the job off on Ubeya. Once they do, the shift will appear in your income. If something does not look right, please let us know and we will fix it for you.
If you do not see the job in your income, do not worry. It will only show once the customer signs it off on Ubeya. Customers usually have five days, but some may take a little longer. We always make sure every job is signed off before payroll is processed, so you will always be paid on time.
