THE BRIEF
Firmdale Hotels is one of London's most celebrated independent hotel groups, known for their design-led boutique properties and the distinctive character each one brings to its neighbourhood. Ham Yard Hotel in Soho and Charlotte Street Hotel in Fitzrovia are two of London's most distinctive and sought-after event venues, attracting a discerning clientele who expect a level of personalised service that only comes from a team that knows the space, knows the standards and knows the guests.
Firmdale needed a staffing partner who could supply consistent, reliable event staff across both hotels on a regular ongoing basis. The roles required spanned the full front of house operation including waiting staff, bar staff and cloakroom attendants.
The boutique nature of both hotels made consistency of personnel a higher priority than it would be at a large anonymous hotel. At Ham Yard and Charlotte Street the experience of arriving at an event and being greeted by a familiar face is part of what the hotels offer. A rotating cast of different agency staff at every function would undermine the warmth and personalised feel that Firmdale's guests experience and expect. What Firmdale needed was not just reliable staffing. It was a regular team who genuinely felt like an extension of the hotels themselves.
